Day Three

Day Three- 1319.3 km
July 13

Today was a weird one. We left Ottawa and began the long trip to Quebec. Today has been characterized by two things: driving and rain. And driving rain. And driving in the driving rain. We've entered the very heartland of Quebec. I feel that our complete inability to speak french might be a limiting factor.

So far Quebec has been reasonably uneventful, besides my observation that this hostel is better than the last one. It was kind of sweet there, at The Jail, but it was a pricey hostel. Everything costs money there and we're trying to be cheap! At least we didn't hit any bars last night. Nope, instead we drank and wandered around taking night photos and getting soaked in the rain.

I feel much more accomplished now.. because we've actually put a lot of distance between ourselves and home. New Brunswick is practically just around the corner. As a group we've been just having a good time with our freedom and each other. Sucks Chino doesn't have an acoustic bass...

In other news we left the band CD I brought with this irish guy named John that we met. A bunch of rough tracks, really..but whatever. He's a musician so maybe he'll appreciate them, if not.. well whatever. Not sure what tonight will become. Chino speaks of drinking. I can't see any reason to argue with him....
