Day Fourteen.4505.6km
Entry Two
I think I love Cape Breton Island. This place is full of forests, hills, streams, rivers, lakes and a sprinkling of villages perched on the edges of those features. To top it all off it's surrounded by the frigid waters of the Atlantic. Stunning. Every time I come around a bend in the road, phrases like "Holy shit!" or "Wooow" come from my mouth automatically. It's so pretty.
Today we spent mostly exploring. Woke up exceptionally late. But we still saw a lot of scenery. Drove some go carts..but they sucked.
And yes the rift has been healed. All is well in our crew of awesomeness.
Tonight we are staying in a motel near Sydney..the tip of Nova Scotia. We are here in order to be close to our Newfoundland ferry, which leaves at 12:30 tomorrow. Newfoundland might be slightly crazy because we have essentially nothing booked. I tried calling a few hostels on the western side, (which is where our ferry is headed) but could not get through. We'll just figure it out I guess.
We skipped the Cabot Trail due to time restrictions, so it is imperative that we hit it on our way back. It's a must-see. From the tiny taste I had of it today, I want more. This I know.
